NoName Architecture is a group of architecture professionals created in the city of La Plata, Argentina in 2016, which is currently made up of various professionals interested in multiple disciplines, from different universities and countries of origin, with the aim of recovering spaces reflection, and rethinking conventions not only in the field of architecture, but also in cultures and in the way we relate to space.
The group has its origin in university teaching and participation in architectural competitions with a team that extends temporarily even today. From our beginnings we decided to remain open to collaborations, having coincided with studios such as SMF Arquitectos and Aisenson Arquitectos, Becker Arquitectos, Zap Architecture and John de Maio Studio.
On the other hand, collaborating with the dissemination of architecture in 2017, we created with the senate of the province of Buenos Aires a radio program dedicated to interviews with renowned architects in the Argentine national sphere.
With a strong interest in single-family homes, we spend a lot of time studying the variables of each project, architecture interrelated with poetry, music, cinema and literature in general. Some of our projects have been distinguished and published in Argentina and Spain. We have participated and obtained 13 awards in international and national competitions.
In 2018, 5 of our projects were selected at the Bienal de Arquitectura Argentina.
At NONAME we think that architecture should be able to reach everyone, regardless of social or economic level, since it is the best tool to build a better city, a better future.
We currently live in a situation in which it is no longer society that changes the city, we have a duty to change the city to transform society in this way, that is why architecture must be available to everyone.
We do not believe in the architecture of the magazine, of the propaganda, of the marketing, of the ego of the architect over architecture, that is why we decided that the name we would adopt would be ARCHITECTURE WITHOUT NAME, since what matters is not who produces, but for whom we want to produce.
