Hayes Park - Heinz Renovation

The original Heinz Corporate Headquarters was designed by SOM and opened in 1965. In 1999, SOM was commissioned to enhance the potential for office space in the two existing buildings and to design a new building and car park structure for the complex. The scheme respects both the scale and appearance of the original site. Whilst the existing buildings use structural expression and curtain walling to create an honest built form, the new building conveys a distinct architectural form by combining contrasting materials to articulate depth to the expression of façade.
