The Swedish Travel Agency Resia Creates a new Store Concept in Collaboration with Bornstein Lyckefors architects Resia, a renowed Swedish travel agency, has created a new store concept to meet up with the new digital aspects of the travel business. It’s a creative platform for traveling developed in collaboration with the Gothenburg based architects Bornstein Lyckefors.
The pilot project is located south of Gothenburg, and is a hybrid between a store, a meeting point and a workshop. The new concept is called Resia Travel Studio. Bornstein Lyckefors, who were nominated for the prestigious Guldstolen prize two years in a row, awarded to the best interior architecture by Sveriges Arkitekter, likes to challenge the conventional aspects of interior design. - The interesting part of the project was that Resia dared to do something new.
They wanted to be less like a traditional store and more of a social environment, where the conversation about traveling is central. Traditional travel companies are all about selling a trip, while Resia Travel Studio also works as a source for inspiration towards new destinations, said Andreas Lyckefors at Bornstein Lyckefors Architects. The creative studio is made in soft colors with sound absorbing displays and natural materials.
The customers are able to either sit down with the travel specialists for personal guidance, or brainstorm by the green steel workbench in the middle of the room. The change in concept of Resia includes a new store with a new graphic profile and a new way to purchase journeys. Resia Travel Studio is a new mode of operation within the fields of technology, digital experience and personal meetings. The new store concept will be launched throughout Sweden in the following year.
