Sertão Portinari

Nildo José + arquitetos associados as Architects

One of the main exponents of the new brazilian architecture, Nildo José participates for the fifth time at CASACOR São Paulo, this time with an environment specially designed for the Portinari brand. In project, the architect signs space “Sertão Portinari”, whose main inspiration was the work “Cangaceiro”, by the greatest Brazilian artist Candido Portinari, for the brand that has the name inspired by artist. For the decoration in the 2022 edition, it also brings back Nildo's origins.

Nildo once again plans to make history, with the sensitivity and exceptional attention to the smallest details of a remarkable project, the architect explored the most valued elements of hinterland such as the sky, rain and faith to bring the 250m² environment to life. “We have always thought that the Sertão is about the land, about the drought. When in fact, it's about HEAVEN, about the RAIN that is to come and about FAITH. It's the sky we look at when we wake up there”, adds the professional who brings an optimistic view of Sertão.
