SKOLNICK provided architectural and interior design services for STRIVE
International Headquarters, a non-profit designed to help the formerly
incarcerated and other at-risk individuals acquire the skills needed to find
sustained employment, achieve economic self-sufficiency, and become valuable contributors to their communities.
The main office of the organization, located in East Harlem, NY, had a need
for programmed and administrative works spaces which were more suited to
the kind of client interactions supported by its program and mission. Design
services included a complete “gut” renovation of their new 2nd Floor space at
Third Avenue tower. The updated space consists of new staff work and break
areas, client meeting spaces, classrooms, reception, bathrooms, and support
space areas.
The newly renovated space has allowed the organization to serve even more
individuals, both here in New York City and as a hub for the network of STRIVE
partners in other cities.
