Tigris is a small collective housing building located in the heart of the Cuauhtémoc neighborhood in Mexico City and just a few blocks away from Paseo de la Reforma Avenue. The building consists of four apartments of approximately 130 m2, distributed in four habitable levels, a roof garden at the top level and parking on the ground floor.

The intention of the project was to maximize the plot not only in its use and footprint, but also in its economic and resource efficiency. Therefore, materials such as concrete and block were used in its apparent finishes. The construction system is very clear, walls and apparent concrete gussets connected by a reticular slab on the ground floor and ribbed slabs at the subsequent levels.

The design is characterized by pure geometries, with flares at the ends of the terraces that allow the main façade to maximize the entry of natural light and provide a great spatial amplitude from the apartments to the outside, achieving a feeling of connection with the urban environment.

With the intention that the building would blend in with the vegetation located on the site, it was decided to use the color green as an integrating element of the building, using it throughout various details of the project. For the planters on the main façade, a green pigmented concrete was chosen, which was cast on site by manual means. Similarly, the gates were ordered to be manufactured in a green color chosen especially for this project.
