The Zoute Apartment is located along the coast region of Knokke-Zoute. The small 36 square meters apartment includes a bathroom, toilet, fully equiped kitchen, storage, bedroom, dressing room and living room.
Without compromise much attention was given to detailing towards a warm feeling of space, both in materials and colors. The desginers chose earthly tones, light beige and pastelone, in reference to the Belgian coastline.
The kitchen island is placed like an altar. It is made from sandstone which again refers to the coastline close by. The edges are raw to add a more earthly feeling.
The space is intended as sober but warm. Fresh during warm summers and warm during the cold Belgian winter.
