FOG is about the purity of the contemporary interior, about style and eternity, about trend and comfort. A project in which we wanted to try something new, enjoying simplicity and creating harmony, working with materials and light. Caption Caption Minimalism, which stands out with modern details, natural materials – gives the apartment a general atmosphere. FOG is exactly the case when we poetize comfort, using not words but solutions and practicality. Caption Caption From the very entrance to the apartment, we are immersed in the basic concept. The common space for several functional zones was created by the feeling of “fresh air” and the opportunity to “breathe freely”. Several shades of... More

Apartment in Izlake

We designed the apartment measuring 73 square meters with young clients in mind by intertwining a stylishly furnished, multi-layered mosaic of inspiring ideas that predominantly consist of carefully curated decorative elements standing out from the balanced whole. Upon entering the apartment, the visitor’s view travels all the way to the end of the lengthy dark-blue wall where the space also expands and dynamically shifts from terrazzo ceramics to elegant parquet carpet flooring. All the elements in combination with various colour shades create a soothing ambience - by positioning all the functional elements along the load-bearing walls, the ambience breathes, which adds it the feeling of openness and freedom. The wooden-plantation partition is designed to be an element of directionality as well as maintaining the partial privacy to common and personal foyer.  Personal foyer opens to vestibule with cozy ledge sitting, which further leads into an open-plan drawing and dining room. Caption Working with a muted material palette, a mix of teak-wood, bronze mirror and metal accents has been used to bring warmth and grace to the apartment. Colour palette infuses simplicity in the drawing room, with Grey-stone cladding backdrop for times of togetherness. Nude leather faux sofa, wooden elements, metal accents, create a room that’s upbeat and comfortable at the same point. Caption This bronze mirror, panelled with teak-wood patti... More

ML Apartment

ML Apartment is a contemporary apartment of 100 sq.m located in Komotini City and designed by the architectural office Nasia Spyridaki Architecture & Design. The proposal consisted of remodeling the interior so as to create new functional spaces with materials and geometries that achieve a cozy environment.  We used “warm” materials, such as wood, metal, brick walls and stone like tiles in order to achieve a warm industrial space. The main entrance leads to the living room and the dining room. Those two spaces are divided by a double sided fireplace so as to maintain partial optical connection. The same logic was used also at the kitchen area. Floor material changes from wood to large tiles with stone effect and additi... More

Beau Cloud Mansion / The Cascade

“We interpreted the cascading topography of Mid-Levels Hong Kong as various horizontal elements, as a way to stratify the different functions of the apartment.” - Kenny Kinugasa-Tsui, co-founder of Bean Buro Bean Buro “We kept the materials palette bright and neutral to maximise the poetic qualities of natural daylight as much as possible. The horizontal black line (in the joinery detail) playfully emphasise the notion of horizontality and continuity.” - Lorène Faure, co-founder of Bean Buro Bean Buro The Brief: Revamp Situated adjacent to the urban jungle of Hong Kong, Beau Cloud Mansion is hidden away in the winding and layered cascaded hills of the Mid-Levels. Hong Kong Garden / Theatre House

Mid-Levels, Hong Kong “Theatre House”   “This is a Live/Work/Play apartment for a family with children in the hilly Mid-Levels of Hong Kong. We created an elegant architectural setting which provides the flexibility that a contemporary family requires.” – Kenny Kinugasa-Tsui, co-founder of Bean Buro   “Inspired by the idea of a ‘theatre set’, we created a continuous timber wall across the entire apartment with metal portals that opens up into the different internal worlds of each room. It also creates a prominent backdrop for the lounge and dining spaces.”   – Lorène Faure, co-founder of Bean Buro   The Brief: Live/Work/Play for a family in the c... More

Grand Deco Tower / Loop Line

Grand Deco Tower  “Loop Line”   “The concept for this apartment is a playful black line that loops around the entire space to create a connected experience for the kids and the parents.” – Kenny Kinugasa-Tsui, co-founder of Bean Buro   “The running black line creates skirtings, portals and edging details; including a miniature door frame for kids within an adult door.”  - Lorène Faure, co-founder of Bean Buro   We were tasked to design an apartment in Grand Deco Tower in Tai Hang, Hong Kong, for a family with two young children.   The space was designed to be flexible for the whole family’s various activities. Apartment at DLF Magnolias

Designed for a modern-day family of four, the single floor apartment at the DLF Magnolias, in Gurugram manifests an unexpected evocative story that has been built through colour, textures, details, patterns, and forms that exudebeauty, adventure, eclecticism, and romance. The brief from the client was to have a house that felt like a home. The designers refrained from conforming to conventional notions of ‘style’ and instead crafted spaces that were inspired and ingenious. Since, no structural changes were allowed to be made, the biggest challenges faced were the constraints with respect to the positioning of the toilets, and the low ceiling height. Given the limitations of the layout, the designers have aimed to achieve the be... More

AJ Luxe Apartment

The AJ Luxe Apartment is located on the 10th floor of an apartment complex with a bird’s eye  view of the Kowdiar palace, the surrounding city and the far sighted Western Ghats. Two separate flats were combined to form a single apartment for a family of four members. The rigidity of the framework of the existing envelope and columns were indeed a challenge that we believe was resolved in the best way possible to meet the additional requirements of the client. The interior walls were reorganised and re erected to include a bigger kitchen, a home theatre, a separate study space in addition to the living room, dining room and 3 ensuite bedrooms with attached balconies. The plan was reworked without altering the structural elements an... More
