UGI Utilities, Inc. serves more than 700,000 customers in 45 counties across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and one county in Maryland. Its recently completed headquarters, a 93,000-square-foot facility located on a 33-acre tract, is designed to house approximately 350 employees. Three ten-story office blocks are unified at ground by a 150,000 s/f array of courtyards and common amenity functions including cafeteria, conference facilities, fitness and health centers, casual dining, formal and informal gathering spaces, and a transportation center which organizes arrivals and departures of employees via shared and private vehicles. Pfizer, one of the most prestigious pharmaceutical companies in the world, purchased a plot in Athens Greece in 1997 to house its rapid growth and create its new headquarters in Greece. This rough space has the special gift of an industrial yet monumental aesthetic, a beauty that we decided to exalt through a solid balance between two simple materials wood and concrete. The workspace is punctuated by board-marked concrete columns, which have been left exposed throughout as contrast to the refined surfaces of dark afrormosia wood and white plasterwork used elsewhere. For its new headquarters in downtown Austin, the festival organizer South by Southwest (SXSW) sought an efficient, cutting-edge workplace with a unique image that would speak to the company’s collaborative culture. The building houses SXSW’s consolidated offices, with remaining office floors occupied by tenants with business and production relationships with the company. Swiss architectural and design practice Evolution Design, in partnership with Russian architectural office T+T Architects, has developed striking headquarters for Russian bank Sberbank. Sberbank is the largest bank in Russia and Eastern Europe and is currently developing a new corporate district in Moscow. As part of this development, Sberbank commissioned Evolution Design to completely reconstruct a 30,000m² shell and core building into a new multifunctional head office. The internal atrium forms the basis of the architectural concept. SGA recently completed an expansion and re-stack of several floors at Zillow Group’s headquarters, located at 130 Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, NY.  The expansion added 24,000 square feet across two floors, and SGA provided additional updates to the existing floors to create a fully functional and cohesive space.Collaboration and communication were key areas of focus.  The space features an open floor plan, “break-out spaces,” and traditional conference rooms with state-of-the-art video-conferencing equipment.SGA used 3D modeling to design the space.  This process involved the creation of interlocking Revit models for each floor, complete with materials, finishes, furniture, branded elements, lighting, and mechanical equipment.... Living Proof is a hair care company with deep roots in science and patented technology. With a background in innovative design, the company looked to relocate their 27,500 SF headquarters to a new space where they could formulate and test all products on site, in a new lab and with open office.SGA’s interior design and branded environments teams collaborated with the brand to build a new headquarters that celebrates their history of science and patented technology originating from MIT.
