TaskTo update the design for the Radisson Blu chain brand, but to keep the expensive materials used in the original interior by integrating them into the new design. Renovating such a prestigious establishment during normal operations required a great deal of precision for planning interior design, construction logistics and realization. Weekend getaway near Mumbai: Located in a tourist hub a few hours from Mumbai, this hotel serves as a perfect weekend getaway. The challenge while designing of this defunct building was to impart it a contemporary look with  clean lines to the facade. Grand Hyatt Xi’an takes reference from the spirit of the Silk Road and reinterpret into the elegant contemporary interiors of the hotel. The theme begins in the double-height lobby where patterned timber walls form wing-like motifs and a large feather-like sculptural feature extends ten meters from the floor to the ceiling, lit from below.
