Casa Escondida

Located off the desert coast of Los Cabos, Casa Escondida is a project of multiplicities. Mediating between complex and competing demands imposed by climate, program, and neighborhood regulations, the design overlays strategies of disguise and duality to construct the concept of a house within a house. Sherwin Williams

A compelling thing about this project was the client´s invitation to work again with them in a proposal that will allow to consolidate the task teams -operating from different locations- into the same space that was going to be developed in three stages. It seemed complex, but the correct planning and identity, which we defined as a team in the previous project, laid the groundwork to carry out this new challenge achieving the client´s intended purpose.   Being a company well known for its logo, a world globe covered with paint, the immediate answer might be overusing color and to paint each wall in a different shade and turn the office into a sample book, but we decided not to follow that path. In our experience a worksp... More

Cienfuegos, the perfect fire; protagonist fire, creative fire, transforming fire. Fire, primary element present while choosing every material; clay transformed into tiles, sand transformed into bottles of glass, wood transformed into coal. Fire transforms steak into dishes, and dishes into gastronomic experiences that talk about a contemporary and timeless Yucatan.    Cienfuegos is mystery, mysticism and magic. Unified spatial concept accented with Mexican craftsmanship at Santomate

In the city of Morelia, Mexico a 19th-century colonial-style construction that integrates 3 different properties via a central patio with a great variety of vegetation forms the basis of new restaurant concept Santomate by Daniela Bucio Sistos. The range of colours selected - right down to the bathrooms -  is inspired by shades of green, blue and yellow, which are found in the region's glazed pottery. Credit: Dane Alonso The restaurant is entered through a narrow street door, upon which visitors are greeted by a dark green foyer. From... More
