Chicago Sunset

CHICAGO SUNSET is an apartment in the same-name residential complex with a panoramic view of the city. Particular attention was paid to details, a vintage workbench and monstrously beautiful sunsets. On the verge of brutality and elegancy – that’s how we can characterize the spirit of the project. At the outset these were two separate apartments joined together with the division into the private and common zones preserved.  Caption Caption The common part of the apartment presents an airy environment, a real mix of textures, styles and finishes joined together in a monochrome colour array of the interior. Metal partitions that incorporate hand-made ribbed glass separate the entry space. A vintage workbench from t... More

Interior Design of Modern Residence House "Life"

A spacious two-room apartment was designed for a young girl. Initially, the apartment had an isolated bedroom and an irregularly shaped kitchen-living room. The owner wanted the apartment to have as much air and light as possible. To do this, we separated the bedroom space from the hallway and the kitchen-living room with the help of a glass loft partition, thereby visually uniting these rooms. It is now possible to isolate the private space from the main daytime zone with the help of a thick curtain running along the glass partition from the side of the bedroom. Anna Kutilina We corrected the incorrect geometry of the kitchen-living room by organizing a dressing room with a laundry area in the back of the room. We also hid a tall pen... More

Fog

FOG is about the purity of the contemporary interior, about style and eternity, about trend and comfort. A project in which we wanted to try something new, enjoying simplicity and creating harmony, working with materials and light. Caption Caption Minimalism, which stands out with modern details, natural materials – gives the apartment a general atmosphere. FOG is exactly the case when we poetize comfort, using not words but solutions and practicality. Caption Caption From the very entrance to the apartment, we are immersed in the basic concept. The common space for several functional zones was created by the feeling of “fresh air” and the opportunity to “breathe freely”. Several shades of... More

Graphite

The modern world is changing so quickly and unexpectedly that it is simply impossible to foresee the design trends of the future. The only thing that remains constant is the fundamental principles of design and their ability to turn any space into a comfortable place. That is why the Bezmirno team used three main rules of architecture in designing this apartment, including functionality, ergonomics and aesthetics.   This apartment consists of a master bedroom with a dressing room, two bedrooms for the kids, a spacious kitchen with a living room, a small office, two bathrooms, and a separate dressing room, which is designed as an island at the entrance to the apartment. Despite the fact that the apartment is divided into separate mul... More

299 King

King Street, our new multi-residential project in Melbourne’s West end, responds to the presence of nearby Flagstaff Gardens, Melbourne’s oldest park, by intertwining local stories to represent the origins and future of the precinct. In the mid 19th century, this part of the city was Melbourne’s flourishing commercial centre: a diverse urban precinct home to the Indigenous Kulin nation, Chinese immigrants enticed by the Gold Rush as well as settler populations. This project embraces the distinctive elements of this site-specific identity, creating a thoroughly local architectural narrative. Like the imposing flagstaff erected on the site to communicate between the town and the port, King Street will anchor the West end&rs... More

107 Cambridge

It seems trite to trot out the over-worn truism ‘change is inevitable’: but behind those bland t-shirt logo words stands unyielding fact. The implicit challenge, as architects, is how to effect change in a positive and meaningful way? Honouring the past while whole-heartedly saluting the future, 107 Cambridge Street, Collingwood takes that challenge on the chin. Located in the former factories and warehouses of Foy & Gibson, this project shares a part of Australia’s history. Melbourne’s first department store, Foy & Gibson was part of the southern capital’s coming of age – a glamourous 19th century style temple on Smith Street that drew on the chic addresses in Paris and the United States, which... 13Chenar Residential

The 13Chenar residential project referred to us when the construction process was suspended due to the client dissatisfaction. The building was designed by bubble deck system which liberates the interior from structural elements and moved them toward the edges of slabs. They just finished the fourth slab when they asked us to revise their project. We refused to design just a simple facade and proposed a serious set of changes both in architecture and facade. Because of the imposed structural system limitation in making hollows, we decided to focus on the edges of the building and define a hierarchy from outside in. In order to do so, we designed all the units requirements in the space between the core and the shear walls and considered the l... More

Explanada Reform

“Each process of change means an emergence, a development and a becoming and this is only imaginable in time” – Carl Menger.    The “Explanada Reform” arose from the need to adapt space and interior design to the changes experienced between differing generations, evolving and creating, bringing about as a result a new home.   All this led Pablo Muñoz Payá Architects to reorganise and carry out an integral reform of this home located in Petrer (Alicante), which has a surface area of 85m2.   The initial distribution, which was much divided, is transformed into one that is simplified, with the idea of connecting the rooms in order to obtain visually more spacious areas, inte...
