Dramatic Bulgari flagship by MVRDV showcases a green, jade-like facade of recycled champagne and beer bottles

Rotterdam based architecture and urbanism practice MVRDV have unveiled their most recent collaboration with luxury jewellery brand Bulgari in the form of a dramatic flagship store in Shanghai. Located on Nanjing Road at the popular and upscale Shanghai Plaza 66, the store is distinguished by a green, jade-like façade made from recycled champagne and beer bottles.   Bulgari The façade is inspired both by the Art Deco architecture which became prominent throughout Shanghai in the early 20th century when it's status as a key port connecting the East and West was established, as well as Bulgari's Déco collection which characterised its jewellery in the same period. Green Villa

MVRDV has designed a small office and residential building on a corner lot next to the Dommel river in the Dutch village of Sint-Michielsgestel, using a gridded “rack” system to cover the building’s entire exterior in a variety of plants. Serpentine Gallery Pavilion 2006

The Serpentine Pavilion 2006 is co-designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Rem Koolhaas and structural designer Cecil Balmond. The centrepiece of the design is a spectacular ovoid-shaped inflatable canopy that floats above the Serpentine's lawn. Construction has been completed on the Tianjin Binhai Exploratorium, a 33,000-square-meter (355,200-square-foot) museum structure in Tianjin, China.
