Student Mentoring Center & Financial Trading Lab
One Space was engaged in late 2017 by HKUST Li Shau Ki School of Business to design this two-storey Student Mentoring Centre.

Made possible through partial funding by one of the School’s donors, the facility has been designed to support multiple modes of learning, from small group sessions to 1-2-1 mentoring. The site enjoys beautiful views across the wooded site and to the South China Sea, so we decided to exploit the pre-existing double-height lightwell adjoining the external glazed wall to build a new, open-riser, glass/timber/steel staircase to join the two floors into one use.

To mark HSBC’s 150th Anniversary in 2015, One Space in collaboration with URBIS were appointed to resolve one of the most vexing and complex design challenges to face the bank’s iconic Hong Kong headquarters building since it was completed in 1985: An holistic reimagination of HSBC Plaza, a major urban space at 1 Queen’s Road Central.

One Space is proud to have designed the world's largest private equity firm’s office expansion at Two IFC. Prior to our interventions, the client had undertaken only minor modifications since they took possession of 1.5 floors in this landmark, harbourfront tower upon its completion in 2003.

This 9,750 SF agile work environment in Causeway Bay Hong Kong brings together on one large floorplate FP Marine Risks and Howden Insurance Brokers, sister companies under the Hyperion Insurance Group, which is the world’s largest employee-owned insurance business.
