A neighborhood restaurant is being refurbished. In search of a new image, the design of the restaurant has completely changed. The design is cozy, with lights set to create an intimate atmosphere in various scenarios.  vladimir mindru vladimir mindru   The bar remains the "heart" of the place, with a design dialogue between hard metal and glossy ceramic. Level differences and changes in floor material create playful "frames". vladimir mindru vladimir mindru More

CMR house

The plot features the extraordinary garden of an old house, the project explores a defragmentation of the programme by placing it along the strength of the immediate natural environment. The total volume demanded by programme requirements was disturbed, fragmented and then distributed alongside the garden. The volumes are connected through transitional spaces that frame views of the garden, encouraging the user to make pauses while moving through the house. A subtle and constant link between exterior and interior spaces, blurs the perception of spatial borders.   While the public spaces of the programme have direct relationship with the gardens, a sequence of spaces and level changes builds up varying degrees of intimacy. When it rea... More

MARACANÃ | Penthouse duplex

This project is anchored in the panoramic view from the penthouse. Inspired by the blue sky encircling it, we immersed different shades of sky colors into the apartment, in the furniture, walls and decorative details. For a warm, inviting space, we chose to introduce wood, a rugged, beautiful, warm material.Ph: MCA Estúdio More

Juice Brothers x Nutri Bowl

Nutri Bowl, specialised in cold-pressed juices, and Nutri Bowl, pioneer in healthy to-go meals, are joining forces in a new roll-out concept. Ninetynine was asked to develop a modular, scalable shop-in-shop concept which resulted in an inverted island bar which brings the customer – and not the staff – to the heart of the brand-controlled environment.   The design is based on a grid of 40x30x30 cm blocks. The size literally refers to the optimal 40/30/30 - protein/carbohydrates/fat - ratio provided by the power series of Nutri Bowl. The basic grid is projected onto the floor as a tiled surface, and is separated from the walls of the space. An L-shaped counter and a free-standing block that serves as a table are constructe... MATCHA is a new tearoom in Poznań whose name is anything but coincidental. It is a place where you can try a Japanese green delicacy, served in many ways: hot or cold beverages, desserts or cakes. This venue was created out of its owners passion. Their culinary invention will on many more occasions surprise the growing number of regular customers.   MATCHA is inevitably associated with being organic and having a beneficial impact on our health and well-being. Those advantages and a distinctive colour of this variety of green tea became the main motif for the interior designed by mode:lina™. From the very entrance MATCHA attracts with a space bathed in green. Designers gave the interior a large number of shelves on steel struct... More

HOUSE H - The house with plants

The house before rebuilding had stayed in the shadow because the location that had been surrounded by many buildings had been bad. That's why the room hadn't got much sunlight, and the potted plants that had been outside had been losing their energy in the dimly-lit place. So we started designing the best places for plants with the owner who loves plants. First of all, we set up the garden on the second floor of the north side which has been the best place of getting a lot of sun and hasn't backlit. And then we put some plants in it.Secondly, we tilted the ceiling that we coated the surface of with reflective material. By doing so, we have projected the shape of the plants that can not be seen from the first floor as a virtual image on the... More

Patios House

Housing architecture reflects the way in which we understand our being-in-the-world, and represents the conjunction of wishes, wills, emotions and ideals. The imagination process in the construction of space is, at the same time, the most basic and the most complex exercise, understanding that the house is life’s actual scenario.  We decided to abandon housing’s typological palette, rejecting trending catalogues that imprison new ways of imagining the house as a construction that must morph and transform according to life’s constant changes. We didn’t conceive objects or forms as the project’s main concern; it is a consequence. The project is conceived as a system of places and relations regulated by a continuous space... More
