Brick office

Designed and finished in a crazy haze, new localization marries both thoughtful, functional solutions and spontaneous, esthetic ideas.  Function: taking into consideration the structure of a new office, designers decided to move all rooms that don’t need daylight to the far end of the office, with no access to the windows. Because of that the conference room, the phone booth, and the bathroom, along with the corridor (with a niche that hides a cupboard and a printer) were encapsulated in a simple and functional cubicle. The kitchen, with a big table, can be found right after entering the workshop, and all workspaces are laid along the glazed facade - in order to provide enough natural light. Materials and form: studio was des... More

Grand Hall Complex at The ZAMEK

In 2007, when we set out with the competition for a design to modernise the castle we had one goal: to create a space where its recipient becomes its subject. So that those who find themselves within that space may feel it has been made bespoke for them. Functional and open. Thus far, the castle had been different – it intimidated people with the labyrinth of rooms and the vastness of dark halls. With its immense programme and the appetite for even more activity, the Culture Centre suffocated in the heavy body of the neo-Romanesque edifice.  Hence the need for a change – uncompromising, bold and comprehensive.   obefore the Grand Hall to the rank of central ATRIUM, where all the functions are focused and where the pa... Slab House

Slab House project came into existence in the suburbs of Poznań on one of many hills surrounding the city. It was not an easy task - architects from mode:lina™ had to inscribe the building’s form into all too steep hill’s slope. As it turned out, the solution was, unexpectedly, childishly easy - recreate LEGO, it’s idea and turn it into reality. Three storeys of the building were separated from one another with even slabs that resemble childrens’ favourite blocks’ construction panels. On the base floor there's a more technical part of the house, along with a garage. This level was covered with constructive slab, allowing for flexibility of upper level planning. The 1st floor has been divided into 5 cubi... More

Location:Pavilion Szelag Garden is located at Ugory Street in Poznań. The plot is directly adjacent to the historic Szelagowski Park and the Warta River. The place is located only 3 km from the city center and thanks to the revitalization of riverside areas and the creation of the cycling path "Wartostrada" is a popular place of active rest for residents of Poznan city. The plot was abandoned for years and the city decided to make a local community center ( pavilion ), social gardens and a place of rest there. The plot has an area of 2800 m2. The pavilion is located at the main entrance. In a further flat part there are social gardens with patches grown by residents, classes and workshops. The plot also has a temporary catering area, a chil... More

MATCHA is a new tearoom in Poznań whose name is anything but coincidental. It is a place where you can try a Japanese green delicacy, served in many ways: hot or cold beverages, desserts or cakes. This venue was created out of its owners passion. Their culinary invention will on many more occasions surprise the growing number of regular customers.   MATCHA is inevitably associated with being organic and having a beneficial impact on our health and well-being. Those advantages and a distinctive colour of this variety of green tea became the main motif for the interior designed by mode:lina™. From the very entrance MATCHA attracts with a space bathed in green. Designers gave the interior a large number of shelves on steel struct... More

ChiChi 4U - Batorego

Situated within the northern area of poznań is ChiChi 4U – a new burger restaurant envisioned by mode:lina™. As the architectural design studio has previously created interiors for the same company, the new venue seeks to form a unique space while still aligning with the ChiChi 4U brand. The interior was filled with surprising materials which came straight from a building supplies warehouse! Almost 300 PVC pipes covered the walls and ceilings, and their dynamic composition with yellow mesh panels became a trademark of ChiChi 4U new joint. Mesh panels around the counter helped with presenting the menu.Bright orange PVC pipes create a dynamic three-dimensional composition. The combination of materials helps to create a contemporary and somewha... More

Górny Taras Multi-Family Residential Building

The structure was designed as a freestanding, five-story multifamily residential building, supplementing the buildings along the main street of the city. Architects' goal was to create a project with a different approach to the aesthetics of buildings commonly constructed throughout the city. The Client's wish of providing maximum surface of balconies was achieved by surrounding core of the structure with terraces wrapping around the entire building. White balconies were chosen to contrast with the dark core of the building. Railings of balconies are open to allow as much natural light as possible into the building's living areas.Client: IngeniumLocation: PoznanDesign Architect: Neostudio ArchitekciPartners: Bartosz Jarosz, Pawel Świerkowsk... CREDUS CLINIC is a place on Poznań’s medical map, which is to be unquestionably associated with top professionalism, elegant modernity and comprehensive care for patients. Young doctors from CREDUS CLINIC wanted to ensure that the ideals present from the moment the clinic was established, were seen in its functional and patient-friendly spatial solutions. That is why they decided to entrust mode:lina™ architects with designing the clinic’s interior. White reception area with an oak desk and office space, in shape resembling a medical cross, is a clear architectural reference to the purpose of this space. All necessary functions were gathered along a flowing, curved line, which puts in order, and most importantly calms, the common area. Thi... More

Brain Embassy

Brain Embassy offers spaces where you can work while on the move, rest by meditating or cycling. You are only restricted by your own imagination. A cooperation of Adgar Poland with mode:lina™ studio designers resulted in the Brain Embassy brand being spatially complemented by a motif of “synapses” running across the whole interior. There are over 100 billion neurons in a human brain. Thanks to them we think, act and discover. There are even more synapses, which pass information in our brain! Taking these facts and the visual identity system into consideration, mode:lina™ designers created a space completely in tune with the human mind.Visitors to Brain Embassy in Warsaw’s Mokotów are, from the very entrance, led right through the entire inte... Marshal Office of the Wielkopolska Region in Poznan

A photo shoot of the Marshal Office of the Wielkopolska Region in Poznan for the architectural office Warsztat Architektury Pracownia Architektoniczna. The building consists of both the office building itself and the semi-public space around. Due to the location of the site and complexity of the building, the semi-public, space was located underneath the building, thus making the whole structure optically lighter. The exterior part outlines the cavity around the whole building, which makes it float above the heavy base and provides an outdoor terrace underneath the upper floors. The interior part is meant to be an extension of the open space around the core of the building and was designed as a transparent, multifunctional and flexible s... More
