Designed by buro511 in a forested area on the outskirts of Moscow, Roma House is a place for a busy media manager to be alone with nature and relax. A truly custom design, the house addresses the client’s ambivalence between desiring a contemporary house of luxury with high-end finishes, and a rustic, earthy cabin. Designed within a gated community of ZMG for a young family, this house divides its program into three floors - service, social and private areas.The entrance to the house is emphasized by a staircase leading from the board level and visually topped with a tree that houses the house entrance located right in the center of the property - being the hub of the stairs a natural divider between one space and another - kitchen is separated from living and dining, as well as kids bedrooms from master bedroom. House at Los Cisnes

This house lies on a quiet triangular shaped site on the outskirts of Buenos Aires. Groves of trees surround the place giving the architecture a natural frame. It's design consists of a reinforced concrete box anchored to the terrain, a white box suspended by round columns and an horizontal plane. This surface is a Lapacho wooden deck that connects the garden, the pool, the barbecue area and the grove. The architecture has very precise construction details but a simple scheme. Private spaces are upstairs in the white volume and public activities take place in the ground floor. This house was transformed from a 1970s home into a modernist villa. For the additions and alterations the interior walls were removed and an atrium and moat were created around the hall and dining room, with a curtain of water falling past a cut-out in the atrium wall. The outcome of the architectural design is a contemporary home with a double volume living space that opens seamlessly on a 13x6m lanai area.
